here’s how duolingo works and why it’s effective! every exercise in duolingo has a purpose directly tied to learning outcomes. stories works on reading comprehension, duoradio helps with listening, spaced repetition helps with vocabulary, and so on. to make sure our app is effective, we combine product-minded engineering and research-backed insights from learning scientists to craft the perfect exercises into directly transferable language skills.
