This TikTok story downloader saves the stories a public account posted in the last 24 hours, starting from nothing more than its username. Video stories save as MP4 files, photo stories as images.
How it works
1. Start with the username
Enter a @username or paste the profile's link. There's no need to find a link to the story itself.
2. Open Stories
The Stories tab shows each story that is still live, and when it expires.
3. Download
Press Download under a story. A story with several photos has a download arrow on each one.
Downloading a story by username
You don't have to track down a link to the story. Enter the account's username, and the Stories tab lists the stories it has live, each marked with the time it expires. A video story downloads as the MP4 file TikTok serves for it, with the account's username in the file name, so it is easy to find later. A photo story downloads as image files named the same way. Files pass through our server on their way to you and are not stored.
Save it before it expires
A story is visible for 24 hours from the moment it is posted. Creators can keep one around longer by adding it to a Highlight, and they can also delete a story before the day is up. Once a story has expired or been deleted, it no longer appears in the Stories tab, so download it while it is live. Creators save their own stories this way, marketers keep a copy of a promotion that ran for a single day, and researchers archive what public accounts posted. The story still belongs to the person who made it, so ask before you post it again.
Stories you cannot download
A story can be downloaded here only if a public account shared it with everyone. Creators can limit a single story to friends, meaning followers they follow back, or to themselves alone, and those stories never show up. A private account's stories are reserved for the followers it approves, so they are out of reach as well. The Stories tab only covers stories that are live right now, which means older stories kept in Highlights are not listed. And if the account hasn't posted a story in the last 24 hours, the tab is simply empty.

Yes, that is how it works here. The username or a profile link is enough, and the Stories tab lists the stories the account has live.
Can I download a TikTok story anonymously?
The creator won't see your name. TikTok shows creators which accounts watched a story, and a download here involves no TikTok account of yours, nor any sign-in. We keep server logs, but only for up to seven days.
Does a downloaded story have a watermark?
You get the file TikTok serves for the story, passed on unchanged. We don't add a watermark of our own or re-encode anything.
Why is a story I saw earlier missing?
It has most likely expired, since stories last 24 hours, or the creator deleted it. Stories limited to friends and stories from private accounts are never shown here.
Can I download stories on my phone?
Yes. Any up-to-date browser on a phone, tablet or computer will do, and the file is saved like any other download.
