One text looks ambiguous. One flight looks innocent. One location ping means almost nothing by itself. That's why federal prosecutors build timelines, and I know, because I used to build these cases. Yesterday in the Lil Durk federal trial, an FBI agent showed the jury exactly how a circumstantial case becomes a story. But here's the important thing to remember: records can establish WHEN things happened and that they happened close together. They can't, by themselves, tell you WHY. The government can ask the jury to draw an inference, and sometimes it's fair, but the inference is still a step, so ask whether the evidence supports it. A story that feels complete is not the same as an element proved beyond a reasonable doubt. Do not let a feeling do the job of proof. Note - Trial evidence, not findings of fact.
